September 15, 1961 in Athens, Greece. Migrated to the United States in 1970 at the age of 8.

Academic Achievements

As someone who always grasped mathematics quickly, John had completed the four year undergraduate mathematic requirements by the age of 15. John was accepted into MIT at the age of 16, and was simultaneously nominated for inclusion in Who’s Who in Young Americans for his mathematical achievements. John withdrew from College following the untimely death of his father. John returned later to complete his education and currently possesses an MBA.

Military Achievements

John voluntarily completed three years of honorable service with the United Stated Marine Corp. Was highly decorated as a result of his combat duty in Beirut, Lebanon.

Game Experience

John played his first hand of Poker at the age of 9, shortly after migrating to the United States. Growing up in 1970’s mob infested New York City, John matured quickly, as did his game, in the back rooms and underground casinos of New York. John is a prolific cash game specialist with over 28 years experience, playing primarily high stakes in the East Coast of the US and Europe. John enjoyed a very lucrative decade at the professional level as he was able to sustain a very comfortable living with his skills. He played his first Major tournament in 2005. John has developed significant skills as a well balanced all around player by continuously playing a variety of games, such as; Hold’em, Omaha, Five card Stud, Omaha 8B, Seven card Stud, Razz and Draw.

Nickname

John is referred to by his fellow players as John “The Greek”. Contrary to popular belief, the nickname was not obtained as a result of his Greek heritage. Rather, he was given that nickname because of his uncommon discipline at the table and aggressive style of play that clearly mimics that of Nick "The Greek" Dandolos, to those that knew him.

Personal

John is married with three children. John has several business interests that include two Biotechnology Companies specializing in genomics and proteomics and are currently developing new proprietary Cancer therapeutics; Real Estate ventures, and Internet Gaming ventures.

Charity

John is also the co-founder of The Cancer Research Institute for Personalized Medicine. A non-profit organization that specializes in making new, propriatary technologies available to children with Cancer.

Residence

John currently resides primarily in New York, while still spending a great deal of his time in Europe.
